The Policy was developed by the Higher Committee for the Development of the National Drug Policy, with the participation of various governmental and professional entities concerned with the pharmaceutical and health sectors, reflecting a comprehensive and participatory approach.
The Policy aims to support access to safe, effective, and high-quality medical products, promote the rational use, and advance the pharmaceutical regulatory and control system.
It further supports the Egyptian Drug Authority's efforts to achieve advanced levels of regulatory maturity in accordance with the requirements of the World Health Organization's Global Benchmarking Tool (WHO GBT).
